The silhouette of a cat on a fence is arresting. The cat is all seeing, perhaps all knowing, and certainly uncaring. These creatures continue to arrest our hearts and hold them captive. It isn’t hard to understand how these creatures have been worshiped throughout civilization, and associated with an otherworldly power. I am grateful that their social cat colony nature extends to familiar humans as well.
This cat is based on a new cat in my life, Clementine. This cat is just under two years old and is an absolute terror. We trust that the psychological toll she has taken on us and her adopted sister, Alma, will be paid back over time as she settles into adulthood.
