Skeleton Band

This iteration based pen & ink piece is inspired by the old Swedish film “Seventh Seal” by Ingmar Burgman starring Max von Sydow. There is a scene where several characters follow death, dancing, into onlivion. I wanted to include influences from jam bands, marching bands and the spookiness of Halloween in my work, and also lean into the mix of variation layered on repetition.
